Candy Buffets and Stations
March 4, 2016

I'm not sure if it can get much sweeter than this! Candy buffets and stations are an awesome centerpiece for your party or big event. It'll make everyone's eyes glisten as if they were in Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. Though there won't be any chocolate rivers, guests (and the host of course!) can dive into this delectable and beautiful dessert display.
There are many ways you can go about your sweets. You can choose from bulk candy which is usually sold by the pound, individually wrapped candy (candy bars or lollipopos, whole OR minis work as well) and additional decoration candy for filler. Stay soft and go with cotton candy and marshmallows or go sour with gummy worms and War Heads. Focus on chocolate and don't be afraid to get risky with anything dipped in chocolate. Make a candy buffet for an ice cream sundae station, people love to choose their own toppings. Lollipops and gum drops, you know it. You have full control over your candy station, mix and match anything you'd like! Also, don't forget to provide scoops and tongs for your guests to serve themselves any loose candy, this is important to keep germs from spreading.
Candy presentation ideas doesn't have to be so tricky. It's easy to make a bouquet of lollipops. A candy station doesn't keep you from providing delicious baked goodies like cupcakes and brownies. Put your baked goods on a multi-leveled dessert tower, it will look amazing. Clear display containers work great with mini indivually wrapped candies and loose bulk candy. It's usually suggested to not use containers that are too big as it can get tough to reach the bottom as the candy gets lower. Fancy trays and plates do a wonderfull job at displaying desserts. Don't forget to think about a centerpiece, it'll be the cherry on top that will make jaws drop.
For your table, use bright colored table cloths and backdrops to add some pop to your candy buffet. As your candy station comes together, you'll be able to add the finising touches. Feel free to lable your candy and treats. Add class with ribbons by tying them around lollipop sticks or any other desserts on a stick. Display pictures; this can be the birthday boy or girl, the newly weds, the game winning team, etc. Tying it all together with a personal touch is always charming.
If you're looking to create a candy buffet or station for your next party, you're in for a treat. Whether you're putting the table together yourself or going with a professional, experiencing a candy buffet is truly sweet.
